Final Distribution Decisions Are Tougher Than Expected…

6
Tougher, and now broader (not by choice) — There does not seem to be enough models to accommodate our method of “testing out the waters” regarding stories, songs etc. And there as well are not many companies who can aid us in refining what we’re doing into anything streamlined. This is because everyone is set-up to only handle one form of intake (ingestion) and unable to ‘risk’ any kind of hybrid development that encloses text, audio, and video outside of the occasional ‘extras’ like in the i-Tunes store’s extended releases. No complaints, merely facts.

So through this, we will have to let go of a few items that we figured were on their way out (no biggie), but what we can be disappointed about is feeble, and that makes it frustrating and a learning experience in the way to which you’d buy painkillers to enforce that “Oz” is a ‘real place’.

Anyone for a game of poker with our flying-monkey friends?

“Wicked” Was Awesome, Anne Brummel Rocked The Vox…

We wanted to extend our thanks and appreciation to the cast of "Wicked" which played at the Fox Theatre (St. Louis) on July 6th, 2010 — The showing was magnificent and very tight — We must also say that Anne Brummel rocked the vox hard! Everyone was great together and she really brought the witch to life in a way we'd never have imagined. The effects, sets, everything was top notch and to that end we say, "If the play is happening in your town, get off of your arse and go see it"…

Understanding cost effective…

2
We see a lot of odd impressions regarding things like book and music distribution (and the like), but more importantly than all of those things, and how they can be important (depending on your situation), it mostly comes down to understanding money management and how it can not only help you assess your risks better, but also how it can prepare everything you aspire towards to be initiated with less error (because there will always be mistakes).

For instance, a book or song, uploaded to a network with a cataloguing fee of anywhere between 25 to 75 United States dollars has to be accounted for in terms of the cost to aggregate and the cost to promote. A bunch of people assume the cost of 25 to 75 dollars (USD) is minimal and therefore, not as much a "shot in the dark" but in reality, you are just a consumer of services with that mentality and nothing more. Be accountable if your goal is profit.

Cost is balanced between facilitation and manufacturing, retail is then adjusted for factors such as competitive pricing (or whatever needs to be adjusted). So you're accounting for cost to yourself (or organization) and cost to the public in order to have growth. Your questions should become apparent ala, "How do we make the 10.00usd, 2500.00usd we invested in this product?", "How do we make back the 25 to 75 dollars spent on cataloguing?" (and the list goes on dependant on your situation).

That's all we can say really, which comes down to the cliche "think things through" that our parents (or Grandparents, or somebody) told us…

Online Licensing Tool Refined for Music Licenses (i.e. Film, TV) Only…

6
We have decided to specifically offer the online licensing tool for music licenses (i.e. film, TV, video-game) only. The decision is made in part by the confusion surrounding the use of the application and the confusions by music listeners who did not understand that the licenses were for soundtrack supervisors and people of similar fields. In place of the last efforts, we've developed a new form for licensing professionals that should streamline the request process.

Now, when you you enter our licensing page ("license our stuff"), you will see a brief explanation followed by a form in which you can specify many variables that make the procedure very fast and precise.

We will leave the online licensing tool active for a while, providing you with the option to complete your contract and download of the materials all in one shot, but we may not offer this capability in the future.

Hopefully, this will heal the confusions and inconveniences and will allow better understanding of how the program is utilized.

Thank you.

Money and Ideas don’t go Hand in Hand…

5
Remember, we're not pundits; but we seem to run across many individuals and organizations with a less mature perspective of how the terms "proof of concept" and money, and ideas, work together. The first thing we would say is that money and ideas do not go hand in hand, they are merely decisions (or a means to an end if you're going to risk it all in the first place). That's it, really. The idea and a "proof of concept" are a marriage that exist because it tells you if you can (A) Invest and (B) Continue to develop the idea/concept into something greater.

If you think of any scenario where this isn't the case then you'd think of Hollywood or some small publishers who can still gamble in the current economic conditions, but outside of that, more people are trying to be certain rather than alternative. We're not vested in money or any of that from the creative aspect at any time, but that doesn't mean we are willing to continue on with all things if they can't generate interest (let alone sales). Working hard is all there is for anything in life that requires "work". Many people still fall into valuating everything on sweat equity and the like, but that's not smart.

If we had a dime for every time someone through money at a portion or problem of their marketing, we'd be richer and they'd be shorter. A fact of life is knowing what you're willing to do and not do, so again, all of this typed out here can be attributed to "a decision" (unless you're Hollywood, who don't usually get it right but will still throw money at the concept, regardless). They've won that gamble many times mind you, but can you win yours? Well, gambling is just that, gambling. But there is a place where you have something that you do well and perhaps, only you are the best at it.

Guess you better find out if you actually are working as hard as you can, and then we guess you should figure out if the decisions you've made or are going to make are "sensible" to what you put in and what you've got thus far.

Maybe you disagree?

We'd posted some snaps of our prototype printings a few days back and now, we're gearing up some new full releases for August. Let us tell you, we're exhausted but excited all the same, so please, be ready to perk up for some really cool updates, and don't worry, we can't imagine anyone being disappointed by this batch. We're preparing to unleash some writings and songs that pump up the juice (yes, we used a hip 80s term) quite superbly (ha).

Prototypes (i)

We’re excited to announce that we’ve received a few prototype-printings of our upcoming North-American book-releases. Among them are tests of the [Devil’z Hide] (DH) serials. With much of the early test-marketed products being out of the way, the inching closer to what will be the final renditions is the ultimate aphrodisiac. Exhilarating, the only word fitting.

But all that aside, now we must make sure that everything is a-okay before “going to the mattresses” (or was that the presses?).

Be on the lookout…

All Around Update: Kuneo Koei, Sekrett Scilensce, Mary Margaret Park

We’ve been very busy, and through all of this, we’re excited to say that we have many new writings, songs, and combined-developments that will go live shortly. With [Devil’z Hide] (DH), “Shadow Cure”, and [The Road Avenger] all being in different stages of development, alongside many new music-titles being finalized, we haven’t been able to keep anyone as updated as we’d like.

To everyone who has taken time to write-in regarding “The Road Avenger”, thank-you for all of your support and excitement (firstly). The project has been moving forward and will approach another public-demo (reading) release very soon. It is hard to balance the marketing of such a project into the methods of instantly-gratifying tidbits without destroying the heart and foundation of what is trying to be accomplished. For your patience, we can only say that all waiting is well worth it.

Some of you had heard that “Devil’z Hide” would have three new installments coming and this is all true. One of the setbacks that is now resolved is where the new titles were going to be distributed. We’d wanted to make it available to as many digital-networks as possible, but after a round of questions to readers and licensors, we came to the conclusion that many wanted to be able to access the titles directly from us. We are now set-up to do this more diligently. It will still take time to make things smoother (from an access point of view).

On the music side of things, we’d released a set of singles from “The Rapman’s Attire” album which were “IN5” and “Control”, each featuring a matched [Side-B] release. The official URL for “IN5” is http://www.myrap5.info – The official URL for “Control” is http://www.myrap7.info – You can as well view videos for these titles at http://ww.youtube.com/indigocentury — Please, we encourage you to view, rate, and discuss these music-productions as we’re honored and proud to serve them.

Lastly, we’ve been making many changes to our operational-procedures and have as well done away with a lot of unnecessary items that would only stand as obstacles in getting more high-quality content delivered to you. Some of what we’ve written here may sound bland or boorish but please understand that we did write it and we are extremely busy and unable to comply with every request for free-goodies and snips at this time. We will be getting more samples and the like out when both the new public-demo-readings arrive and more music-releases launch. We are hopeful that you can be satisfied with the new music-releases and the writings that will be updated in the next few days.

As a special-note to those who’ve written in asking for us to join communication networks such as Facebook, Twitter etc. We’re considering the possibilities but are not going to devote our development time or marketing resources, especially in relation to immediate needs, based on assertions that these tools are required. We appreciate that some have written in to tell us of how the bells and whistles of 21st century media may make us more visible or likable etc. but our truth is that we’re immersed in the idea of serving you bad-ass entertainment vs. communicating every event of our progress. While that may feel unfair to some, we would ask you to remember that none of us can be all things to all people (unless you’re Bill Gates and everyone uses your products to some degree).

To our fellow creators and producers; many will tell you to re-tweet; many will tell you that you might as well not exist without a MySpace Music page; some will even go as far as to say you can’t or won’t be viable without any (or all) of these tools in your arsenal. We believe that it mostly depends on your mission and your measurement of progress (then ultimately success).

Remember, we’re addicts of cool too; just maybe not the way you are.

Email-us, call-us, fax-us; whatever makes sense to you. It doesn’t matter if you’re a reader, listener, wizard who wants to bless us with a success potion etc.

Do what feels right all around.

Thanks for reading.

Music-Dish (Mi2N) has released their first public-review from “The Rapman’s Attire” album – “IN5” by Sekrett Scilensce has been summarized (and articulated) as an impressive mixture of modern electronic with beat-busting (thumping) qualities that are sure to keep your head wrapped around the song’s essence (or in other words, it’ll keep you jamming all night long).

But that’s what they said (albeit a bit differently) – So go find out what they said now:
